Crokidiles™ Pty. Ltd. was founded in Perth, Western Australia in 2009, beginning with the development of Trollipop™
As a mother of a young toddler who refused to sit in the trolley, and a with a husband that did fly in- fly out, I often had to tackle to chore of the weekly shopping solo. I was tired of juggling snacks, drinks and shopping lists while doing the weekly shopping, I thought that there had to be a better way. After searching the internet for a product that could help and finding nothing, the idea for Trollipop ™ was born.
During the concepting process of Trollipop™, we looked at games that kids love to play, and it dawned on me that the supermarket is filled with lots of fun, education opportunities for kids like shapes, numbers, food, colours etc. Our aim to use these to turn this traditional chore into something fun and educational. A shopping focused educational book toy was therefore included on Trollipop™, so that kids can match grocery items to the pictures in the book while you walk around and do the shopping. This toy book is removable and the intention is create lots more fun and education shopping focused games that can be interchanged to keep the kids interested, so you can focus on getting the job done, while spending quality time with the one you love the most!
The secondary feature of Trollipop™ that was also important to me was to have a place to put all my items, because let’s face it, kids can sometimes be a handful, and while trying to do the shopping hands are sometimes something you can never have enough of! So included in Trollipop™ was the shopping list and pen holder, and small storage compartment.
It is my hope that Trollipop™ will help turn the dreaded shopping with kids experience into fun, quality time with your little one, that you both look forward to week after week!
